gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #276 Share Posted June 27, 2015 I had asked to be seated in Arnel's section again but it was full. Instead we got a pretty lady named Michelle as our waitress. She was amazing! I asked for her every night for the rest of the cruise. CJ again skipped dinner tonight. Tonight's dinner menu. JJ's chicken quesidilla. I tried French onion soup for the first time tonight. I'm still not sure if I like it or not. Holy cheese Batman! JJ tried the sushi from the didja menu. My entree was the Sicilian chicken. gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #277 Share Posted June 27, 2015 My mom's meatloaf. JJ's penne with seafood. The dessert menu for tonight. None of us had anything because we were all way too full. Uh-oh, here comes tonight's shots guy! I'm warning you, folks. Don't do it! The shots at dinner are $8 and some change and you get to keep the souvenir shot glass. gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #278 Share Posted June 27, 2015 After 13 Carnival cruises, I still love it when they dim the lights and the maitre'd comes on the microphone with those two words: IT'S SHOWTIME! :D Tonight we danced to Low, Low, Low. Our waiter Arnel from the first two nights. My new favorite waitress Michelle. CJ and JJ got a monkey towel animal tonight. We got a something and a baby something. gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #279 Share Posted June 27, 2015 At 10 pm the Red Frog Caribbean beach party started. Before the party. Selfie with one of the girls from the entertainment staff. I can't remember her name, but she's from Australia and I loved chatting with her a few times during the cruise. Selfie with yet another photo bomber. How low can you go? gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #280 Share Posted June 27, 2015 The party had a great turnout and everyone had fun with all the different dances. They should have never let me loose on the ship with my selfie stick. Even Santa came all the way down from the North Pole to party with us. #SantaSelfie And then THIS happened! Anyone know who this lucky couple is? Many blessings to them! :) Good thing she said yes. Poor guy wouldn't have been able to show his face on the ship again if she had said no. He would have had to fly home from Jamaica tomorrow. lol
gapearl Posted June 27, 2015 Author #281 Share Posted June 27, 2015 After the lido party I went to the late show of John Wessling. Again, he was hilarious. Whatever the big basketball game was happening on June 16 had the casino bar packed. The piano bar always had a good crowd. The Vibe Nightclub was dead tonight. I guess everyone decided to stay in after two continuous nights of hanging out and finally having a port day in the morning. I left at 1:30 am. We weren't scheduled to dock until 10 am and I wanted to get in a workout since I skipped the gym today. I'm ready for Jamaica, ya mon!
Namelocg Posted June 27, 2015 #282 Share Posted June 27, 2015 I woke up bright and early at 8 am and had every intention of working out today. But. The. Struggle. Was. Real. I didn't make it. I took a shower and got dressed in my swimsuit and coverup, ready for a sunny pool day. My mom and JJ were going to go to the breakfast buffet on lido, so I suggested they come to the MDR with me for brunch instead. Sea day brunch is held in the Southern Lights Restaurant, deck 3 aft. We were seated immediately with no wait. Sea day brunch menu. We were served a basket of assorted pastries. Pastry selfie. My mom brought one of the new puzzle books I got her and we could not figure this one out. Can anyone get it without using a calculator, and what was your strategy? This one was easy. I knew they had to be big numbers because the total was over 100 so I looked for 3 numbers in the one's place that resulted in a 4: so the 7 in 47 + the 6 in 36 + the 1 in 31. 7+6+1=14, put down the 4 and carry the 1 then the 4+3+3+the 1 that was carried over =11. Put it all together and you have 114.

monogrammedbelle Posted June 27, 2015 #285 Share Posted June 27, 2015 I ended up not using it much, but the locked box on my chair is called the Aqua Vault. You set a code of your choice and it locks over your beach chair. I saw this on Shark Tank and ordered one. This is great for cruises or the beach when you don't want to take your stuff to use the restroom and you don't want to leave it laying out in the open either. Boca clip TWINS - I love my flamingo Boca clips!! :) Also, the Aqua Vault intrigues me majorly - I'm looking forward to seeing how much you use it on the rest of the trip. Since my DH and I cruise with just the two of us, we have to tag team who is watching the stuff and that gets old real quick....
pghsteelerfan Posted June 27, 2015 #286 Share Posted June 27, 2015 My mom brought one of the new puzzle books I got her and we could not figure this one out. Can anyone get it without using a calculator, and what was your strategy? O...M...G!!! I actually got this one. Math was NOT my subject, even the easier maths was a struggle for me. I was determined to get this one. Someone else already responded they also got it and how. I used a totally different strategy but it also worked. I knew that it had to be the higher numbers so from those, so my strategy was to find three of those higher numbers in which the 2nd digits in each number (ex: the 7 in 37) would add up to 14. It took me two tries with a combo of three numbers that added to 14. I also got 46+37+31=114. No calculator but I hope a pencil & paper isn't considered cheating. :D I am really, really enjoying your review and can't believe the rough weather. The roughest we've had was our Liberty cruise last year (we missed Grand Cayman) and I was feeling it that day. I know others were too, but never saw any "barf bags" placed out. I had been using Ginger tablets but on that day, they were not working so I had to resort to "non-drowsy" Dramamine, which still makes you tires but if I have a choice of being tired or seasick, I'm choosing tired. LOL!!! I love your pictures of Magic!!! Again, thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.
Namelocg Posted June 28, 2015 #287 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I can't seem to edit my previous post but it should say the 7 in 37 and the 6 in 46. Guess my dyslexia is showing, lol!!!
Jeansfanatic Posted June 28, 2015 #288 Share Posted June 28, 2015 After wandering around the ship and playing photographer for a while I went back to my room and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich from room service and took a quick nap. I set my alarm for 6:30 pm to start getting dressed for dinner and told JJ to be ready at 8 pm. These goodies were in my room as part of my platinum gift. This year's platinum gift is a chess set. Looks like we've made it around the worst of the storm. JJ was looking at the Fun Times and asked if George Lopez was on the boat already because she was wondering where they were hiding him. LOL LOL LOL I had to explain to her that he's the spokesperson for the comedy club and they use his name and face for advertising, but sorry he's not here. She was a little disappointed. LOL CJ didn't feel like coming to the MDR again and continued to rest. JJ and my mom were ready on time, but the main one demanding be ready on time (me) wasn't ready until 8:15. I'm on my second bottle of wine tonight. This was a really good choice. Another new dress on me. Hey Kim, First and foremost, your review is awesome as all the others!! I'm finding myself giggling a lot.. Now onto your hair, how did you make it curly? Do they allow curling irons or do you use some other method? almostaswayne Posted June 28, 2015 #289 Share Posted June 28, 2015 Everyone's favorite cruise pastime. After the line dancing was over, DJ D-Biz kept the fun going with some fun music. Eventually he played Atomic Dog. Some of you already know what happened next. lol I was laying down when I heard it, looked up, and saw my new friend Jason out there getting his step on. Atomic Dog is basically THE song for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Any time this song plays, members show out a little bit. These guys were quite the center of attention and even got some applause! haha Shout out to all the Ques! LOL Now that's a first for me......seeing Ques hopping on a cruise!! Sorry I missed that!! Crusin Karen Posted June 28, 2015 #290 Share Posted June 28, 2015 Would NOT have wanted to be on that sports deck the day before during the hurricane! We had a "Santa" on our 2nd Pride cruise too. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't the same man. We sat with him and his DW one night at dinner (YTD) and they were both very very nice. Saw them tons of times during the week and had some nice visits. But cripes, he wore that hat and red shirt and shorts morning noon and night all week. Didn't hurt anyone but after a few days...:rolleyes: well, we each have "our thing" and we did enjoy their company. But the little kids on the cruise were enraptured and I only hope he explained he LOOKED like Santa, but WASN'T Santa. Loving your review. Did you try the Caribbean Colada? I "discovered" this on our last cruise on Pride. They only make it at the RF, the RFP and the atrium bar. But I am madly in love with this drink!!! :p

Showed hubby and he being the smart@$$ he is, said so people just have to take you chair and carry it away now lmao. He's lucky he's cute. Going to buy one now! (You should get commission on this too) I can never drink chocolate milky alcoholic drinks but that beverage looks great! iloverags2 Posted June 28, 2015 #294 Share Posted June 28, 2015 My mom brought one of the new puzzle books I got her and we could not figure this one out. Can anyone get it without using a calculator, and what was your strategy? 37, 46, 31 Got it pretty much right away. I looked for three numbers in the 1's column that would add up to 4/14, then looked for three numbers in the 10's column that would add up to the 100's. At first I focused on the 37, 27, and 20 since those stood out but after adding them up realized I needed a higher number somewhere in the equation since those added up to only 84. Zoomed in on that 46 thinking that was probably needed, from there kept my high 36 in the mix, and realized I would need something ending in 1.
