crewzbabe Posted June 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I'm going on the Sept. 6th 15 day Princess Cruise out of the port of Southampton. Does anyone know if there are any small stores or stalls within the port where I could purchase bottles of water or soda to take on board? The Princess agent said I could bring water and soda on board if I could carry it on...I'm flying in so my only option is to purchase it at the port before I get on the ship. Thanks so much. John Bull Posted June 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Hi, and welcome to CC. :) No, there are no shops etc within the port, other than refreshment kiosk/vending machines - and that'd cost as much as on the ship. Also applies at most, mebbe all, airports. Various places in Southampton if your transport to the ship is car, National Express coach or train - say which & I can advise. But if you're taking a Princess transfer bus they go non-stop airport to ship. Sept 6th is Royal Princess, scheduled to be at Ocean Terminal. There's a convenience/grocery store a ten minute walk away at Ocean Village if time permits, but if you're using a Princess airport transfer your best bet would be to stock up at your first port-of-call.
