Jasp 0401 Posted July 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Hi Now that the Voyager has a Diamond lounge does anyone know if they still offer the Diamond breakfast in the old area in the MDR and can you still use it for lunch? Or is it just a continental breakfast in the Diamond lounge? Thanks

retyredgreynomad Posted August 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Back in March '15...we could still have Diamond breakfast and lunch in the back corner of the MDR. ..with cappuccino if you ask nicely...bit of a wait but worth it...as for the Concierge, she was a Chinese lady called Pai (?), pronounced 'Pay a' or 'Pi a'...talking to her then, she had just knocked back promotion to stay where she was. Not at all sure about the 17yo. in Happy Hour, but should be OK breakfast and lunch in the Diamond Lounge. Hope this helps..

roquejo Posted August 12, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Interesting, my next cruise is with Voyager this Oct and haven't been to their new Diamond lounge yet. It is at the top floor and occupied half of the observation deck. It might be empty as we don't have much Diamonds in Asia yet compared to other regions. Jasp 0401 Posted August 12, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted August 12, 2015 It was a lovely space to have a drink and chat.:D That's what we were thinking. We are in a suite so can use the Concierge lounge in the evenings if our 17yr old can't join us in the Diamond lounge. But with no windows its not that nice to sit in during the day and have coffee and a chat or read a book.

I had hoped they would move it when it went in for its refurbishment. But no such luck. Edited August 12, 2015 by Jasp 0401
roquejo Posted August 13, 2015 #18 Share Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) It very depressing. I had hoped they would move it when it went in for its refurbishment. But no such luck. I doubt it as Voyager just got refurbished Oct last year, they added a Flowrider, DL, 3 specialty restaurants etc. I've been to Voyager before the dry dock Sept last year, and after it last May The observation lounge at the top used to give a panoramic view, but now it is cut in half, the other half is the new Diamond lounge that not everyone has access to. Good for Diamonds and up for exclusive access to one of the best areas of the ship, but the view no longer panoramic as you can only one side of the ship. So if you sailing the 3 Fjords of New Zealand, you are basically in and out of the DL to see the other side of the view. swsf99a Posted August 14, 2015 #23 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Just off the Indy and the concierge was strict about adults only during the evening hours in the Diamond lounge. The guy turned away looked 16-17 . I believe it varies from ship to ship how the age limit is enforced.
Jasp 0401 Posted August 14, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) Just off the Indy and the concierge was strict about adults only during the evening hours in the Diamond lounge. The guy turned away looked 16-17 . I believe it varies from ship to ship how the age limit is enforced. Thanks We will ask nicely what the policy is and if the answer is she can only come in during the day. That is fine as we don't want to upset anyone. On the Rhapsody last year we were asked by the Diamond concierge why we didn't come in the evening only during the day. We told her we didn't think anyone under 18 was allowed during the happy hour. She said our daughter was welcome in there anytime day or night. Also that things are starting to change as more and more younger people are becoming Diamond in their own right. She said some Concierges feel it is wrong to not let well behaved young Diamond members access to the lounge at all times. But we still only took her in during the day as we were traveling with family that weren't Diamond so they couldn't use the lounge.
