Hoping we can enjoy a lot of our Alaska cruise from our balcony. How are the balcony railings? Can you be sitting on your balcony and see ok?

So this is the view looking outside in a Baja deck balcony cabin on Star Princess...

And here's one from on the balcony itself... in answer to your other thread, the Caribe balconies are directly below. You can see that they are half-uncovered. Crown Princess would be basically the same.

Glass has a blue tint. Makes it difficult to see stuff in the water or on land.

We get a towel and clean the glass and stand up a lot.

We spend hours on our balcony in Alaska. :D

If it is warm enough I would love to be up on deck but my father is 95 and lives in Arizona. If it is 60 and/or windy and/or cloudy it will be too cold for him. Plus he will be in a wheelchair so if it is at all crowded I doubt he will be able to see anything. Thanks!

Colo cruiser - Thanks - That is what I was worried about. My dad will be in a wheelchair. If we see something good we could help him and he could stand for a short period.

Its just hard to see small stuff sitting down. But we love it. You should see us when we are all bundled up. :D Mountain views are not effected as you can sit relax and look up. :)

It will be fine. You could order room service for lunch and if its nice enough e at out on the balcony.
