emcelh Posted July 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2015 We booked an SG Suite, Family suite with Balcony on the Star for next year. Looking at pictures it doesn't appear to have anywhere to eat if you have room service, unlike the SJ suites. Has anyone sailed in one of these cabins and, if you ordered room service. where was it set up. We've only sailed in Penthouse suites on the Jewel class ships and there was always a table with chairs. Not a problem really, we usually only order breakfast if we have an early excursion but I was curious.
don't-use-real-name Posted July 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2015 NCL STAR PC Oct '14 SG suite 12012 No dining table in cabin - just a small oblong coffee table by the convertible couch/bed. Said coffee table is suitable only for a continental breakfast for two. Out on the balcony just a small round cocktail table. The SJ cabin next door has the (small) dining table for 4 that I think you are or were expecting. Ask your butler if it possible to have a small table with chairs brought in for your use. If planning to dine on the balcony beware that there is only a partial covering over the balcony. If raining it will not provide enough cover. Wet dining on your veranda dining not recommended ! LOL !

don't-use-real-name Posted July 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2015 12512 is the mirror image (PORT-side) cabin of 12012 (STARBOARD-side). The 12510 is the adjacent cabin toward the bow and a mirror image of 12512. On the NCL STAR Deck 12 forward there are ONLY 4 SG suites 12010 12012 12510 and 12512 with balconies all the rest (20) are SJ. Same overall size but the SJ cabins have more interior floor space and sleep 6 - the SG sleeps 4 the balcony takes out the murphy bed placement.
