Pre-cruise Resort

Will be staying in SJ pre-cruise, and think I have it narrowed down to these two..............

 

1) Marriott San Juan Resort & Stellaris Casino

2) La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort

 

Both look VERY nice and on the beach, which is what we want, my wife works for Marriott so cost is not a huge factor, please give me our thoughts, suggestions on these two along with things in the area to do, we will be flying in late the first night (9PM), 1 full day and checking out for the cruise on the 3rd day.

Was reading up on La Concha and it has a "suite tower" & ocean tower" which do you recommend?

Not to throw a monkey wrench in the process, but have you checked out the Marriott on Isla Verde (in Carolina)? Its right outside of San Juan on a lovely stretch of beach. Lots of hotels on this strip and some nice restaurants. Convenient to the airport, San Juan and the docks. I've stayed there a few times pre-cruise and have enjoyed.

Hi Leslie, is The Hampton Inn near it?...I am booked there for November

and have stayed at The Radisson and The Intercontinental before.......

Isn't this the same "strip" as you are referring to? It has been a few

years since I have been down there but I remember walking along the

beach and there were tons of hotels......:)

If your wife's discount is good at the Ritz Carlton (part of the Marriott family for some purposes) stay there.
