Cabin Steward could not replace the mattresses. Comments Other than the mattresses, we were very happy with this cabin and location - perfect for cruising Alaska. The Lido deck over-hang kept the rain off us on the balcony. Inside the cabin we never heard any noise from the Lido deck. We did hear some Lido deck noise when on the balcony but it was not bothersome. Edited May 31, 2016 by Grog5
Eagle_and_hawk Posted June 9, 2016 #107 Share Posted June 9, 2016 Ship Coral Princess Class Panamax Deck Dolphin Stateroom # D631 Category S6-Suite Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Starboard-Stern Connects With Cabin # N/A Accessible No Quiet Most of the time Balcony Size Oversized with two steamer chairs and a dining table with two chairs. Fully covered. View Normal Privacy Issues None Wind No Soot No Problems No Comments: This cabin door opens up, looking into the elevator area on this deck. There is sometimes a little more noise that can be heard when in the living area as people enter & exit the elevators, and gather in that area. It was not noticable in the bedroom at night, only if sitting on the sofa in the living area. This room could be a plus for someone with mobility issues as when you go out the door, there are no hallways to navigate through to get to the elevators. As of 2/2016 after the drydock, this cabin does have the new mattress. When in bed, you are facing the front of the ship. sutherlinsusanm Posted June 16, 2016 #108 Share Posted June 16, 2016 We just returned last week from our Alaskan Cruise aboard The Crown ship. Although for the most part our Mini-Suite was clean it was also very dated. It's time a major update on this ship. I've posted pictures on a blog entry from today so that you can see what I'm referring too. Here is the link. . . http://susansutherlindesigns.com/crown-princess-our-stateroom/ Next time we are thinking about taking a smaller cruise ship that offers more of an educational experience, which will also be a much more current release. :)

Some very quiet sounds coming from the theatre above when performances are on, but this was a rarity and very minor issue. Balcony None View Normal, no obstruction Privacy Issues N/A Wind N/A Soot N/A Problems None! Comments I was nervous about this cabin after reading some reviews on the forum here, but all of those were alleviated very quickly upon arrival! This is a great stateroom. It is quiet, despite being beside the staff quarters and under the Princess Theatre. It's at the very end of the hallway, but we didn't mind the extra walking. Balcony Size - 45 sf View - Lovely Privacy Issues - No, as there was no cabins above us. Wind - Pleasantly breezy. Soot - No Problems - None Comments - This cabin is in a great location, it's very close to elevator/stairs. And very close to food for those midday/midnight snacks you seem to need on vacation. Also close enough to grab a drink at Mermaid's tail or Calypso if you want to take a drink back to your room. We loved this location/stateroom, we'd do anything to book here again! Ship Regal Class B Deck Emerald Stateroom # 5122 Category Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Starboard Bow Connects With Cabin # Accessible Great Access to Princess Theater By Elevator Quiet Mostly quiet Balcony Size:Balcony was tiny. View OK, Room itself was quite small. Wind Very Windy so Balcony door very difficult to open or shut. Soot Comments We very much enjoyed the new set up with wall mounted TV Screen, and the on-demand movies best watched from bed. The cabin was very small, and there was really no place to sit but the bed.An extra chair was provided, but it had to be costantly moved from place to place so the balcony doors could be accessed, or the window drapes opened or closed. Also there was no place to put a breakfast tray, or for a meal in the cabin. Laundry room was miles away at the other end of the ship.

We were almost tossed from the bed the first night at sea! Comments - Great location, just a few steps from the aft pool and one deck below Horizon Court. You're far enough aft that foot traffic from above is not an issue. Cabin is only 160 square feet so it's a little tight, but we would book this cabin again. Rare gotta cruise again Posted September 5, 2016 #124 Share Posted September 5, 2016 Ship CROWN Class GRAND Deck RIVIERA Stateroom # R406 Category SUITE Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern PORT, MID-SHIP Connects With Cabin # NO Accessible NO Quiet YES? SOMETIMES SLIGHT NOISE FROM LIDO DECK; NOT DISTURBING ON ALASKA ITINERARY Balcony Size NORMAL View NORMAL Privacy Issues NONE Wind NO Soot NO Problems NONE REALLY: balcony was covered so sometimes difficult to get a photo; wind and precipitation well blocked most of time on Alaska sailing Comments Enjoyed having a suite; too much storage--couldn't remember where I placed things! Only had time to use the tub once; nice not fighting a shower curtain. Suite seems smaller in "real life" than it appears in photos and the 360 on the website. Had to rearrange the balcony furniture to try to make it easier to move around as we had 2 friends spending time with us on balcony. Only 2 chairs with the table plus 2 deck chairs; blanket on each of the deck chairs too.
rogerpart Posted September 24, 2016 #125 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Ship Regal Princess Class Deck Lido (16) Stateroom # L-106 Category Mini Suite (obstructed) Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern Very Front, forward facing, closer to Port side. Connects With Cabin # No room connection. Accessible Not specifficsl designed for handicapped accessibility. Quiet Very quiet. Can't hear neighbors or hall noise. At night can occasionally hear adjacent toilets flushing. Balcony Size HUGE-- I would say 14 feet wide by about 10 feet deep. View Fantastic view of ports etc from deck. Sitting in your cabin looking out of your sliding door you can't see ocean because it has a solid metal railing (obstructed view cabin for this reason). This was not a downside for us but others may like sitting inside and looking at ocean. Privacy Issues Standing at railing, you can see cabin decks to right and left, and can see the front parts of the balconies below. The deck above this cabin cannot look into this balcony. Unless you are at the railing, you have total privacy on this huge balcony. Wind VERY WINDY when ship traveling at 20 knots. I did not mind this but my wife did. You don't notice wind as much when seated because the solid from rail deflects wind, but definitely windy when standing. When ship traveling at 10-13 knots, not nearly as windy when standing at rail. Soot minimal/ none Problems none except the bathroom smells like a men's urinal despite cleaning by steward. Toilet always flushed fine. Smell not noticed in cabin, but when standing at toilet, is noticeable but not a big issue. Comments Would book again but wind is a partial deterrent to enjoying balcony. Views are outstanding.
