Half day tours from Livorno and Civitavecchia

Hi,

We will be cruising on the NCL Spirit in October. We have visited Rome and Florence and would like a half day trip from both ports. We have been to Tarquinia on a previous cruise. Does anyone know any private companies that do half day tours to the hill towns, Ostia, etc. The ship excursions are pretty pricy and keep going up.

Any suggestions are appreciated. We have visited Civitecchia last year.

There are several companies that CCers use. Rome in Limos and others. I would contact some of these folks. They have all kind of tours. Only thing is it made be expensive if just the 2 of you. Maybe others on your roll call might be interested.

 

We used Papillon from Livorno to the Cinque Terra. We used RIL for Rome. Both Were awesome. We used Simply Almalfi for Naples. The Med Spirit cruise is fantastic cruise. You will have a great time.

Most private tour companies will charge you for a full day tour regardless of how many hours you are there.

 

Out of Livorno consider Lucca. It is a very interesting place to visit.

Thanks for the suggestions. Like Keith said, the companies want full day tours which is the problem. I will contact a few small companies.
