Shore Excursions - Price higher than advertised

Has anyone had any experience with the price of a Shore Excursion not being the price advertised on the website. I was trying to book a shore Excursion at Cocoa Cay. It is $37 on the website. Once I put it in my cart it went up to $40. Not a huge difference but still annoying. I did try to call but I was transferred and put on hold for too long to bother.

Isn't Cocoa Cay in the Bahamas? The Bahamian government recently enacted a tax (I want to say 7.25% but I could be off) that gets applied to anything there. Even on cruiseline private islands.

I had the same experience two days ago...definitely not a big deal but purchased floating mats for Labadee. Website showed $15.75 each but in the cart, went up to $17.75. Is Royal increasing prices on their private islands??

Most likely the Bahamian government tax. Pretty sure the private islands are on super long leases, and they are subject to the tax.
