Four to two people in a cabin

Hello, I am trying to verify some information I remember seeing. I have a D1 booked for October 2016 on the Anthem for 4 people. Can I keep that cabin for the first 2 people and its prices if I need to drop 2 of the passengers to put in their own cabin? The price is better on this cabin(D1) for 2 people than a D8 for 2 that I have also reserved. I am still not sure if I want to put 4 of us in one cabin or split us up into 2 and 2. Thanks in advance for any information.

Do a mock booking on the website for a D1 cabin with 2 people. If it will let you book it with 2 then they should let you keep it. Some dates they restrict the D1's to more than 2 people and other dates they do not. Depends on the time of year.

Also depending on how close to sail date you cancel the other 2 people they may let you keep the cabin.

Sorry but there is not 1 standard answer as things can vary. I would make any changes now as if you make them later they could reprice your cruise at current prices if you change cabin categories.
