CruisingLover Posted July 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2015 Has anyone attended the Ft. Lauderdale Downtown Countdown NYE party street festival? Is it something kids (21, 19 & 15) might enjoy? What do you do there? Thanks!

What do you do there? Thanks! If you will be in Lauderdale for that night then it would be worth something to do. It's all day to night. During the day stuff for younger kids (fun bounces etc) early ball drop at 7pm for them,, evening there is bands, djs, dancing, contests, beer tents, food, midnight ball drop... Fun for the whole family to bring in the new year :) I'm sure you can probably find some youtubes of the festivities Edited July 18, 2015 by jb456

CruisingLover Posted July 21, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Is it within walking distance from the Gallery One hotel?
BlueHerons Posted July 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) Is it within walking distance from the Gallery One hotel? By distance it is only a couple of miles so only you can decide if that is walkable. By cab it will probably be a 20 minute cab ride because traffic will be really heavy that evening. Beach Place, which is about a mile away, should really be hopping. If you want to go to Beach Place for dinner than get a pedicab up Las Olas to the festivities, that would probably be pretty easy. What is a pedicab  Also, what street are the festivities on? Just trying to Google everything and get my bearings...
