Changing from Platinum to Emerald during a cruise

During our cruise in Jan we will go from Platinum to Emerald. So we are Platinum when we board and 3 days later Emerald. Do we get all the Emerald benefits when we turn or still stay Platinum till the next cruise?

There can't be that much difference anyway.

Carnival is the only cruise line I know of where you get the benefits at the beginning of a cruise if you change status during a cruise.
