Uber - Orlando to Port?

Hi! So I have seen a few scattered and outdated references re: using Uber to get from an Orlando hotel to Port Canaveral. Anyone have any recent experience? Any additional costs outside of their price quoted (for port entry)? Any concerns?

Torn between renting a car for a few days and dropping if off at the port before the cruise, or just using Uber the whole time in Orlando (and getting to the port).

You might try www dot taxifarefinder.com and look on the home page for Uber X Orlando.

But depending on where you are planning on going during your pre-cruise stay, I'd hazard to guess that renting a car would be cheaper (and a bit more flexible).

Also, I'm not sure if Uber is allowed to pick up passengers at MCO. The city had a suit against them earlier this year and the Florida legislature didn't pass any bill to override local regs.

It is about a 50 minute drive from MCO to PC -- not sure any Uber driver will make the trip knowing that he will likely be coming back empty.

Book a rental car and then keep shopping - the only thing that changes more than airfare is car rental rates. Mouse Savers usually has good discount codes for FLA rentals.

Rent a car for your stay in Orlando then get a reputable company like

Executive vip limo to get you to the cruise ship from an Orlando

hotel. Uber and there drivers are not real reputable and experienced

and are not popular here.
