Anything to do in Kauai?

We are going on princess star. One of our stops is Kauai. What can we do there. We pretty much have shore excursions planned in Hilo Maui and Oahu but not there. We don't want to do fern grotto or canyon as we have done that before. Anything interesting? Any good sites to go for shore excursions? Karen and Darrell

Rent a car and drive to the end of the road on the north shore - include Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei and Ke'e Beach. If you do a google search on those places, you'll find some info.

My suggestion would be Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. They pick up at port. This is bucket list worthy.

We did the walking tour. Since it was our first time to Hawaii, I felt it was a good way for us to see some of the island.

+1 hike either the north side or the top of the Waimea. There is something special about getting off the roads and turnouts and sweat and hike. I've found Kauai has some of the most special hikes on my many trips to the island.

I agree, this is an enjoyable trip. Hanalei Bay is beautiful. You can go to Kong Lung Trading Company to browse and shop for a lot of eclectic stuff. Hanalei Dolphin is a great place to eat lunch.
