takdak8 Posted July 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Which are everyone's favorite specialty restaurants on oasis? Least favorites? Does rccl have a discounted offer on specialty restaurants on the first night? Thanks in advance!
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted July 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2015 150 Central Park is awesome. Yes they do have offers; enquire on boarding.

Tweety63 Posted July 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Just off Oasis on Saturday and while we have enjoyed Chops and Giovanni's, the best kept secret is Vintages and the al a carte tapas menu. Husband and I both agreed that while the MDR food was very good, the tapas were the best food on the ship!
wolfganghowell Posted July 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Tweety, are the tapas for purchase or complimentary? Sounds like a nice option if we aren't starving and want a light dinner. And let's face it - we're seldom starving to death on a cruise!

Jan_In_Maine Posted July 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) 150 Central Park - including the wine pairing. Not a restaurant, but really love the Chef's Table - Jan Edited July 27, 2015 by Jan_In_Maine
jahannah Posted July 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Giovanni's Table. I second Bob on GT, but the Chef's Table is also hard to beat.
beachnative Posted July 27, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) Our favorite is Coastal Kitchen… complimentary to those with a gold card. The food is excellent, the service fantastic, and the view the best on the ship. We also enjoyed the Chefs Table, Giovannis, and Chops. Yorkvillain Posted July 27, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Wow, what a wide variety of answers. I'm torn as to which one I like best. On our next Oasis trip we are definitely going back to Chops, Giovanni's and Sabor. We are not fans of 150 Central Park and we didn't enjoy the hibachi at Izumi last time but we may go this time for just sushi. I agree about the tapas at Vintages. They're very good. If I had to pick one I would still say Chops even though I feel like it is not as great as it used to be.

1ParticularHbr Posted July 27, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Hands down...Chef's Table was the best dining experience on Oasis. Tapas at Vintages is also near the top of our list, followed by Giovani's.
jbr5049 Posted July 28, 2015 #13 Share Posted July 28, 2015 We were on in May of this year and made a power ranking. We didn't have a great experience @ 150, I do wish we had tried vintages. 1:Giovanni's 2:Chops 3:Sabor 4:Izumi Hibachi 5:MDR 6:150 Central Park
Tweety63 Posted July 28, 2015 #14 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Sorry for the late response but as previously posted the tapas are al a carte although some can be grouped together. They have these wonderful sweet peppers stuffed with feta/garlicky cheese, olives, paella, prosciutto....they also have desert tapas that you can add on
takdak8 Posted July 28, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Wow! You guys have made it difficult to decide! Lol Although I've never had tapas (never even heard of them til now) I will definitely have to try them after reading all the rave about them! We set sail in sept and getting excited! Thanks everyone!
kalliekae Posted July 28, 2015 #16 Share Posted July 28, 2015 We enjoyed Vintages and Chops. My hubby and daughter loved 150, but it was not my favorite. The worst food we had was in Giovanni's. No offense to those who love it, but our waiter was horrible and the food not fit to eat. Maybe it was a bad night. Others were also complaining that night. Deck_Diva Posted July 28, 2015 #17 Share Posted July 28, 2015 150 Central was the best of our 7 nights cruise last Feb. Loved Coastal K 3X dinner n also Chops, Giovanni's n only dined in MDR the first night.
BekkaW Posted July 28, 2015 #18 Share Posted July 28, 2015 We loved 150 Central Park - food and service were outstanding. Giovanni's was also very enjoyable. We had terrible service at Chops but I hope that was an isolated incident
cayugashue Posted July 28, 2015 #19 Share Posted July 28, 2015 My favorite was Giovanni's. 2nd: Chops 3rd: Sabor We dined at 150 and while I didn't care for the food, the service was outstanding.
Clovis8 Posted July 28, 2015 #20 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Which one had the various salts and bread? We loved that one. Do they still do that?
Thelongos Posted July 28, 2015 #21 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Well, I suppose that's good, there are so many varying degrees of taste...we need to try them all. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

ARCruisinNana Posted July 28, 2015 #23 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Which one had the various salts and bread? We loved that one. Do they still do that? 150 Central Park had the salts, but I haven't been there recently.
MADflyer Posted July 28, 2015 #24 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Which one had the various salts and bread? We loved that one. Do they still do that? That is 150 Central Park that has the flavored salts served with the bread. While they are still doing this feature, they have now switched to having the same menu each night of the cruise and not switching mid-cruise. You now have a choice between two items for courses three to six of the six course tasting menu.
Clovis8 Posted July 28, 2015 #25 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Thanks. It's funny the things you remember. The flavoured salts is my strongest memory from that cruise.
