Opening hours of the shops in the Dockyard

Hi all, I read somewhere that the shops in BDA are typically open til 5pm however, the shops in the Dockyard *may* be open later when the ships are in port.

 

Can anyone with recent experience tell me what to expect on a Thursday night ? There are 2 ships in port if that makes a difference.

 

I had planned my shopping tour of the dockyard on Friday afternoon but now, with the schedule change and having to be aboard by 2:30pm, it's cut that quite short. I figure maybe Thursday evening might be a good time IF the stores are open

 

Anyone been there recently and know what they've been doing ?

Hi Julie. You are right--the shops do not stay open late. I remember that Bermuda craft market closed at 5 last summer.

 

Hoping others who have just been there this season will give you more details.

Island Outfitters was also closed at 5pm and I think I remember the rum cake shop closed at 5 as well.

Was just there in June and everything closes early. :( We had to wait until our last day to stop at a few of them on the way back to the ship to even find them open.
