Verizon Wireless Royal Caribbean gift cards

I just followed up today on Verizon certificates I ordered a few weeks ago and mailed last Tuesday. All $500 posted to my existing reservations yesterday. So total I bought $1500 worth of certificates(I did the other $1000 a few months back) that cost me $1350 and applied them all to my existing reservation with no issues.

Interesting. Good info. I checked today and there are no cruise line gift cards at all. Maybe we should keep this thread going and people can post when they notice they've been added again.

I have been searching for the answer to this question! I am able to buy RC gift cards using Thank You points from Citi, however the listed terms and conditions are the same, stating new bookings only. I was hesitant to purchase one because of this, but now I may try it. Has anyone had any luck applying them as OBC to reservations that are paid? I realize the terms and conditions also prohibit that, but it sounds like they aren't adhered to anyway. I will be very interested to see how this works for people!

I'm also curious. Have a ton of Verizon Points and Citi Thank You points to burn. I'm guessing no but it seems mileage varies when it comes to the T&C.

I wonder if you could book your cruise through RCI with the $500 worth of gift cards and then transfer to a TA and pay the balance with a credit card and no more gift cards?

I checked Verizon Rewards yesterday and they were sold out. I wish (when they become available again) I could use them to add a beverage package. My cruise is paid in full and we're debating the beverage package; a 10% discount would probably convince us to get it. Bummer...

I just checked my account and noticed that both Royal Caribbean and Carnival gift cards are sold out. From reading other reviews, though, it seems that the cards become available every 8-10 days or so.

I've purchased other discount coupons on VW. However, if I remember correctly, the coupons must be redeemed within 2 weeks. Is this also the case with RCI?

RCI is being offered right now. The VW website also states that new deals are offered at 2pm on a daily basis.

At this moment, the $100 Royal Caribbean gift cards are available on Verizon.

If you could use it for already booked cruises it would be awesome. Carnival ones can be used for previously booked cruises and OBC. Royal terms and conditions say for new bookings only.

I wonder if I showed up onboard and presented the RC gift card, if they would just put it as a credit on my account? Or at the end of the cruise to pay the charges?

According to the terms and conditions, the answer is no, but others say it has worked so who knows.

Thanks princess bride. I have lots of Verizon wireless points but don't plan on booking a Rccl cruise for a few months. Do they have an expiration date?

They aren't gift cards (like the Carnival ones). They are certificates that have to be mailed in. I bought a Carnival one in the past and was able to apply it online to my booking bc it has a gift card #
