Port Everglades embarkation

First time we'll be cruising out of Fort Lauderdale, so I'm wondering what time do all of you normally show up at the Port for Carnival cruises? I see the Carnival site suggests 1:30, but that is much later than we are used to arriving at the port for embarkation. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks!

Thanks - That's more like the time we are used to arriving at the port. Not too early to get caught in all the traffic of those heading home from their cruise, but early enough not to miss out on any time onboard!

 

I'm hoping Port Everglades is a smooth embarkation process...

Where in the FLL area are you staying? :confused: Some hotel shuttle do not start running until too late for us - just grab a taxi. Cab from any of the downtown/17th street area hotels to PE should be about $15+tip

We're staying at the SpringHill Suites - Marriott Ft Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port. Not sure what time their shuttles run?:confused:

If this was me, I would call them to see what time the shuttle run but I would probably just go with a taxi. Fare will be reasonable and you can leave pretty much when you want.
