Miraculously, yesterday I booked an excursion online. I did not change/update my browser, but now the website responds.

HAL's website continues to make use of Adobe Flash software which is notorious for causing lots of problems. This is especially so if you use Apple products or have any privacy measures enabled on your browser. I have found that when I run into trouble with one browser, trying another browser can help.
