Does anyone have experience getting a Drinks on Us card at the beginning of the cruise when you 'pre-qualified' with more than 5,000 points on the last cruise but haven't emailed the Players Club ahead of time for comps?

Specifically, I'm on a casino bounceback rate (free cruise) so feel a little greedy about emailing for something else, but it would certainly be nice to get a card from the host at the beginning. Anyone have experience in this specific scenario?

Who did you e-mail about this. I am wanting to find out the same thing and what exactly did you ask them?

Players Club is casino@carnival.com. I'm on a bounceback rate as well, but e-mailed anyway. Got pre-qualified Drink on Us as well. If my past casino play is anything, they know they will get their money and more.

Is that what you asked them if you got a pre-qualified Drink on Us? When I try to do a cruise I get a casino rate but not sure what if anything it means.

I am sailing on a Pack and Play rate in 12 days. I emailed the casino people and asked if I was eligible for any perks. They replied that I was already getting a comped room and was not eligible for anything further at this time. I'll hit up the host when I get on board. :)

What is a "Drink on Us" card? I mean I get the gist of it but I thought you get free drinks whenever you're sitting playing table games or the slots. Is this not happening anymore? Do you now need this "Drink on Us" card in order to get free drinks while gambling in the casino?

The only way you can get free drinks while gambling is if you have the "drinks on us" card which you have to earn based on your play.

Unfortunately, it's not like a regular casino where as long as you are gaming you get a drink.

Hello , I am also on the same perk . You have to be specific when you email them . When I emailed about any perks they told me the same thing . When I re-emailed and asked specifically if I have qualified for the drinks on us card they verified I had and I am now getting a card the day I board. They will not be very forthgiving with free perks unless you are specific .

Hope this helps

I was told about a year ago that free cruises don't qualify for the perk

But frankly I've really cut back on my drinking. I still buy Cheers because I will have 6 or 7 drinks a day to get to the break even point but in the evening I'm not willing to sit at a machine just waiting for a bar waiter to come back to me with one of 20 drinks on his tray.

I'm in the Casino pretty much every single night but usually only playing the penny machines and not at max. Usually get the DOU card (1500 points) by day 4 or 5. I do get Casino Offers and Carnival Casino Select Offers of which if I book the Carnival Casino Select Offer it automatically comes with a DOU card.

I just booked a Casino Offer cruise, and based on the above posts, emailed the Casino asking them if I qualify for a DOU Card upon arrival... Waiting for a response.. If they tell me no, I will reply with a BUT... how can you offer me a Carnival Casino Select Offer that automatically comes with a DOU Card but then tell me I don't qualify!!! lol

Hey, like someone posted, it doesn't hurt to try... I'll let you know what happens... Thanks for the suggestion to try.. :)

I explained to them that unfortunately the timing was not right for an Ultra or Premiere cruise which offers rooms, plus casino cash, etc., and based on my past play was there any perks. They emailed back and said the room was the perk, but I did pre-qualify for the Drinks on Us card. Didn't have to ask, but maybe it was the person I emailed.

I am going on a bounceback cruise over new years and heard back from the casino that because its a free room I will not be getting any comps. I believe the comps you start with on your bounceback offer depends on the bounceback offer you received. Mine was bcb08 which is just a free interior room. I will take that tough!

I "think" I'm on a Pack and Play offer-for my Alaska cruise (in 20 days :D) I'm traveling solo, so I paid $100 for an interior cabin (a 4K), but then I will receive the $100 back as OBC, so I am only really paying for the port taxes/fees. I e-mailed the player's club about a month ago, and asked if I qualified for any comps (ie: the drinks on us card); I heard back the next day that I would be receiving the card. Happy cruising!

Where do you go to get the "drinks on us card?"

Once you have hit 1500 points on your card, the Casino Host usually finds you, says congratulations and adds the DOU card to your Sign n Sail card.. If they don't find you, and you have gotten the 1500 points and want a drink, find them or go to the Cashiers Window..

TURNED DOWN :( He told me I needed 5000 points minimum on my last cruise to qualify for DOU on your next cruise... Truthfully, I think Global Casino Services stinks with their offers but it won't stop me from cruising...

I would say this is a pack and play. I just did 3 of them in May and June! One of the perks, and downfalls, of living in Florida!! Those prices are very hard to resist. Next cruise from casino is a Premier cruise in Jan.

We did a B2B (7-dayers) on the Dream, hubby got the card on the third night from blackjack, and it was waiting for him when the casino opened on the 1st night of the second cruise. We were also spoiled with the host sending us wine, strawberries, etc. The host even bought me a few drinks as well (but I'm just a small-time donator, not a real gambler). Smart host... keep the wife happy, and hubby gets to stay on the tables. ;) We got an offer for 50% off, but were not able to take advantage of it.

Fast forward a few months... Carnival Fascination for a 4-day. Keith got $50 in chips, but the host wasn't giving out anything to him, or anyone else that he played with or asked. I only saw a couple cards, and they were on BIG slots players only.

Last year, we went on Carnival Miracle in Alaska (8-day). Same level of play, card on ~night 3, pit boss bought me a couple of drinks, strawberries in the room, and a free cruise letter. Great!

Took the free cruise on Carnival Sunshine (paid tax, port, insurance). No chips, no card, no goodies, host didn't even buy Keith a drink the entire week... for the same level of play.

I'm truly mystified. All of this was for the same level of play, and 99% of it on blackjack.

We're going on the Fascination again in a few weeks, and have a Sunshine B2B booked for spring (casino rate), so I really don't know what to expect.

Does anyone have the Carnival Casino department phone number handy? I can't seem to find it.

Wendy

I sailed the Pride twice this summer. Received a free cruise offer last week, but am unable to find a cruise that works. I just booked the Pride again for December on my own dime. I sent an email to the casino dept yesterday and just received a reply that I don't qualify for any pre-boarding comps and said I should see the host when I arrive. They offer a free cruise that I can't use because their dates are so restrictive, but I can't get a few drinks?

It won't stop me from playing and having fun, but I will check with the host when I get there! Maybe some of the same people will be there.

:)

Carnival is great about Drink on us card ...Always getting this card as soon as I come to the casino on first evening...if something them ask for host or better for casino manager and everything will be sorted out immediately --- all my words if you are the casino VIP person I assume that you are because you are getting BB offer. By the way going tomorrow on Inspiration just to play for weekend fun :)

Usually its 5,000 points to get free drinks on your next cruise
