Host Caroline Posted April 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2004 If you're cruising with Princess this year and haven't decided to book or not to book with them for tours.. you might want to check these 18 new tours out. One in Sitka with only 12 people looks really good and if you've been wondering what to do in Whittier all day... These aren't my recommendations (well maybe the Sitka Wildlife one) but worth a gander if for no other reason than to plant some ideas I'm just putting the "titles" here .. all are up in detail on the princess website. Ketchikan **Adventure Kart Expedition - off roading and jet boating **Clover Pass Bike Ride-9.5- or 11.5-mile (rider¹s choice) trek **Coastal Rain Forest Sanctuary **Clover Passage by Kayak A paddling adventure in the Tongass National **First City Deluxe Tour -minibus (small group) Skagway **Klondike Rock Climbing & Rappelling **Deluxe Klondike Experience & Yukon Quest (a Princess exclusive) **Alaska Sled Dog & Musher's Camp Juneau **Glacier Outback Helicopter Adventure Sitka **Tongass Rain Forest Hike **Captain's Choice Wildlife Quest & Beach Walk (12 passenger catamaran with island landing). Whittier **Blackstone Glacier Cruise and other wildlife. **Kayaking in Prince William Sound Vancouver **Vancouver Lookout & Scenic Trolley Victoria **Victoria's Ghosts & Graveyards **Butchart Gardens, Wine & Chocolate **Orca & Wildlife Quest by Jet Boat ** Victoria Bicycle Adventure Host Caroline Join CC's "Alaska Live in 2005 Adventure"..you'll have a "whale" of a good time! Days Till Royal Hounds Cruise on Mariner of the Seas...! Days Till Miracle Partae Pirates Cruise from Tampa One can never have too many days at sea...
pamwinn Posted April 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2004 My husband and I have booked the Adventure Kart Expedition in Ketchikan. I wish I could find a picture of a Kart. Sapphire Princess Inaugural
Rare Coral Posted April 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Pam, I have a picture of the carts and all I can say is that you are much more daring then I am. The picture is in the Excursion booklet - hopefully you will get yours soon. Theresa
pamwinn Posted April 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2004 uh oh, maybe not. What do they look like? Now I am scared. Sapphire Princess Inaugural
Rare Coral Posted April 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Pam, It looks like something a 14 year old would love or someone with a young mind It appears one person per cart, the carts ride very low and it has rails above where you sit (roll over rails?) Pam - I can't find a good picture that looks similiar but if you look at this website: http://www.sandland.com/ The main picture at the center top - it sort of looks like the one man one but a little bigger. I wish I could find a better picture. Sort of like a dune buggy.
pamwinn Posted April 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Thanks. I am sort of like a giant kid. And I do mean giant...I hope I can fit in that cart...looks very small. Sapphire Princess Inaugural
minner80 Posted April 14, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2004 We cruise Alaska June 26. When should I receive my shore excursion booklet? Thanks!
Rare Coral Posted April 14, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Cool Cruiser - You generally receive your pre-crusie docs with excursion book about 50-60 days before the cruise. Pam - the cart in the excursion book looks larger then the picture I directed you towards. If you go - I would love to see pictures
