balticbabe Posted August 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2015 I've read that most taxis in Copenhagen take credit cards, but was just wondering about the other ports such as Helsinki and Stockholm. Do I need to bring a lot of euros for the taxis or is a credit accepted by most legit drivers?
Desdichado62 Posted August 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Credit cards should work fine.
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2015 I would still have euros as back up. Keith

WouterC Posted August 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) We took taxis in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. All of them accepted credit cards. And in most places you can also use your 'normal' PIN bank card if you have one (not sure if that's something typical to Europe). In Stockholm you should be okay if you use the major companies, although we were warned for 'cowboys' by our driver (that looked like the official ones, but not quite). We walked to Tallin but seeing how touristy this spot was, I'd be surprised if the taxis didn't accept credit cards. We could pay with euros almost everywhere, only not everyone was able to also give back in euro. Edited August 28, 2015 by WouterC
