Flatbush Flyer Posted August 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Has anyone used this company from Santiago to Valparaiso and any of her other tours? Thought we looked at them all in coming to a decision to hire Leo Cuzmar for transfer and both Santiago and Chile tours this coming January. But- she never crossed our radar. Flacruiser44 Posted September 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2015 Has anyone used this company from Santiago to Valparaiso and any of her other tours? We haven't used her yet but are booked with her for our December 20th Zaandam cruise. She is picking us up at the airport taking us to our hotel to drop luggage then on a tour of Santiago. She is picking us up the next morning and taking us on a tour of Vina del Mar, the coast and Valparaiso then to the hotel in Valparaiso. Her price for the 2 days was very reasonable we think. I read your post and I think my heart stopped for a minute! Then I read it again and all is okay...but I just want to clarify. Carola will be taking you to your ship which departs 12/20/15? We have her scheduled to pick us up from the Star Princess arriving 12/21/15 and then taking us on a tour and to our hotel in Santiago. We have read great reviews and found her responses to our email to be prompt and meeting our needs.

NancyIL Posted September 8, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2015 Chili? What is the question? I think Vic was questioning Chili (the kind you eat) vs. Chile (the country).

We will have a taxi take us to the port after spending the night of the 19th in Valparaiso. We are looking forward to 2 good days with her. Arizona cruisers Posted January 5, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2016 I make so many of my decisions by reading what other people write - so we are now back and I thought I would share our experience. Carola Neubauer - LOVED her! It was like having a friend meet you at the end of the cruise portion of our trip. We had booked her 8 months prior to our cruise and had written to her at various times during the planning stages. I found her to be very prompt with her responses. When we finally met in person in Valparaiso it was the start of a great day! Carola modified (at our request) what she normally does in Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, but we enjoyed that and she is full of great stories and information. We were most interested in visiting the Casablanca Valley and some wineries there. Having just read the book 'Sideways Chile' we knew we wanted to spend some time there. Carola is very flexible, made reservations for us at Casas del Bosque (excellent!) and Indomita (not as good, but pretty view). In between the two wineries we went for an excellent lunch at a place that featured local wines (I am sorry, but I can not remember the name). On the road to Santiago she gave us much more information and had valuable tips for us. We totally enjoyed our time with her and would not hesitate to recommend her. I do know that she uses her own vehicle for two people (that was us) and will rent a larger vehicle for groups of 4 and perhaps up to 6 people. If you have a larger group, the pricing may go down a bit. You can contact her at her email by using her first and last name with a period between and @ gmail dot com. Sorry for putting like that, but I think otherwise this post might be deleted. Enjoy!

Flacruiser44 Posted February 3, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 3, 2016 We used Carola Neubauer when we were in Santiago on 12/18/15. She picked us up from the airport, took us to our hotel to drop off our luggage and then gave us a great tour of Santiago, took us to a great place for lunch and then back to our hotel for the night. The next day, her co-worker, Luis Corrales, picked us up at the hotel and then drove us over to Valparaiso by way of Vina del Mar. On the way we visited an organic winery where we had a great tasting experience. Before going to our B&B, Luis gave us a very nice and informative tour of Valparaiso. I would highly recommend them for tours in Santiago and Valparaiso.

fattypatty Posted March 6, 2016 #16 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Luis Corrales picked us up from the pier in Valparaiso and took us on a tour of Valparaiso and then into Santiago. We had lunch at a fresh fish restaurant that was excellent. We would highly recommend Luis Corrales and Carola.neubauer. All contact was made through Carola. We enjoyed both places very much. nizurc Posted May 24, 2016 #17 Share Posted May 24, 2016 We are very pleased with a Santiago tour provided by Carola Neubauer. We booked a 2 day tour on April 2 & 3, 2016 in Santiago, Chile. She picked us up at our hotel, escorted us around Santiago in her personal vehicle for approximately a 4 hour tour, offering useful information about history of Chile and Santiago. She stopped at tourist areas we wanted to visit. Next day she drove us to port in Valparaiso visiting a winery, Vina del Mar, and conducting a walking tour of Valparaiso prior to boarding ship. Carola is an excellent tour guide with a wealth of knowledge about her country. We highly recommend her. LisaAtlCruiser Posted October 21, 2016 #18 Share Posted October 21, 2016 I will be traveling solo - so the idea of using an individual that others have used and enjoyed is very appealing to me. Can anyone provide the approximate cost? I would be doing the Santiago airport to Valparaiso hotel via a winery or two.
lizziebargain Posted October 28, 2016 #19 Share Posted October 28, 2016 You could just email and ask her-she may also have others from your cruise and if so she can put you in a small group to reduce the cost. This is what she did for me on an upcoming cruise.

mswmurf Posted December 26, 2016 #21 Share Posted December 26, 2016 I just returned from a fabulous visit with Carola in chili and she truly was the best. She really made me fall in love with her city. She took us to a fabulous lunch at a restaurant called adamandeve, which had the best seafood. She also took us to a winery. Her prices were reasonable and worth every penny. You will not go wrong having her handling all of your arrangements.
msdurk Posted December 26, 2016 #22 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Mswmurf I will be going to South America in March and will also be using Carola. My e-mail experience with her has been wonderful.
