My husband and I are going on our first "mommy-daddy time" cruise in February. We were going to Nassau and Freeport, which I was disappointed with the last time I went with a girlfriend. This morning I had an email from Carnival that we had changes to our itinerary yaaaaayyyyy, we are now going to Half Moon Cay and Nassau. Is anyone else on the February 8th sailing on the Fascination out of Jville Fl? And are you as excited about this change as we are?

That's awesome news. Carnival did a survey recently and I can assure you that it confirmed what they already knew; Freeport is one of the least desired ports there is. Last time I went to Freeport many people stayed on board. Not to mention HMC is one of the most sought after ports. My only chance to go it was a cancelled port so maybe next time.

Congratulations!! Definitely a positive move by Carnival.

Awesome change. Suggest posting this on your roll call.

I also received a message today that our Sept 5, 2016 cruise itinerary was changed from Key West to HMC. I love HMC, but we specifically booked this cruise because we had never been to Key West. Oh well, at least they didn't replace Key West with Freeport!

if you are a beach baby, you will love HMC, I wish that the Fascination-soon to be Elation would do a Grand Turk and HMC cruise, I would just live on the ship.:D

Have a great cruise!

However, I do want to go to Free port one day.

Be careful what you wish for.:)

Our first cruise went there and we did a tour of the island.

After about 15 minutes of driving past slums I fell asleep. Woke up a little later at our first stop. The nap was the best part of the tour.

35 or so cruises later we have managed not to go back:)

For me....Freeport did not live up to the hype of the Bahamas. I was very disappointed
