Bridgetown Barbados

I'm wondering what the local price of tours is as opposed to the ship's tours which are very expensive.

Please could you recommend the best way to see the island / boat trip with some swimming included.

How close is town and the beach? Walkable?

Please go to this site and click your way through the tours. Also there is a site for public Transportation

The walk from the cruise terminal to the Center of town is about 20 Minutes. As you go out of the terminal grounds you will see left some souvenier Shops and right a Kind of boardwalk. Take the boardwalk to the Center. You are already in Bridgetown.

Visit Barbados in Tripadvisor for more info. Question, how Long are you in Port? The best way to see the Island and do some Swimming - wow, you will be tired at the end of the day - is with a taxi. They are also available at the terminal (to the right when you leave the terminal building).

As you exit the cruise ship terminal you will see a lot of tour guides and of course taxis.

We do enjoy walking into the town to visit the sites there.

You can get over to a beach via a taxi either from the terminal or from the town.

Taxis are plentiful.
