$hip$hape Posted September 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) ▶▶ Latest ad from NCL... "We're not kidding! Something's waiting for you: Free Unlimited Beverages." I'm a little upset that Norwegian Cruise Line says they will save us $1400 by offering free drinks. Please. Just offer a decent cruise price. I have 2 cruises booked with Norwegian...one a transatlantic and one a Pacific Coastal....the price couldn't be beaten for either of them and they include the ultimate beverage package! Have a look at the price of the other cruise lines before making such a sweeping comment!

That's what I'm talking about!!! 15 drinks @ $10.00 apiece= $150. times 7 days= $1050 times two guests $2100.

I can drink 1 drink a day, some days, and others a club soda :) I did like the UBP as I paid $68 in fees and knew I could drink that much in 7 days. What I got says "CHOOSE FROM 4 FREE OFFERS * SAVE UP TO $1400" The terms & conditions are pretty clear. You need to read more than the first line................... Up to $1,400 in Value with Freestyle Choice. You are right. What I needed, was to read offer # five; "Skip all the free crap  and We'll just give you $1400 off the booking fee.":) Edited September 15, 2015 by $hip$hape
LrgPizza Posted September 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 15, 2015 My cruise price for May, 2016 on Escape was same as cruise price for May, 2014 (2 years earlier!) on Getaway, PLUS free UBP. In an age where I see prices for everything in day to day life increasing, this is terrific. You won't hear me complain.
dcipjr Posted September 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 15, 2015 It's $1400 if you book a suite and get all four offers.

(But really, I don't want any these offers from NCL's.) If I find you on the Escape's Transatlantic, I'm gonna hand you one of those $5.00 pins.:p (I hope you have a sense of humor) Michael
don't-use-real-name Posted September 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Unless you are in a Suite where you receive all offers and promo/perks the UBP is the best deal offered. Free UDP (Ultimate Dining Package) is perhaps next best. Free Shore Excursions may or may not be - but I don't think you are getting the Taj Mahal tour here.*** *** Cheap tour of a beach with brelly and towel. Free WiFi - big deal - slow dial up speed - not much of deal here.*** *** Bring your own satellite phone. Other packages offered from time to time: Free Gratuities (DSC) Friends & Family may work for some but not all.*** *** Everyone in a closet for 4 with hanging bunk beds. Make the best deal you can and take it down to the 90 day wire. Cancel and rebook better deals with caution. Since December 2014 NCL had been offering these packages on and off and the fares are like a Disney roller coaster. Make the best deal that is right for you and enjoy your cruise - don't look back - just have another drink and live with it and of course you can always go to the casino for perhaps better odds. I would pretend it's some sort of official commemorative pin, like many of the cruisers are doing anyway, and I would sell it on eBay for a giant markup.
