Lifeboats on Epic

We are on deck 9 on Epic- does anyone know which decks the lifeboats are? I wanted to know if it will affect our view on a balcony cabin

Thanks

They are just below the 8th deck. We were on the 9th in December and they only affected the view if you looked straight down. However, we were also in one of the covered bumped in balconies. Some of the midship balconies that are uncovered might have even less of a view of the lifeboats as they are bumped out. But either way, it should not be a problem.

Some deck 9 balconies have no life boats in sight, some mid and especially some at the aft. So it depends on your stateroom number, so we can provide you with some pics. :)

The lifeboats are really only affecting Deck 8 but on 9 if you are mid ship you are fine but on deck 9 they are not obtrusive at all

In between of the two rows of lifeboats is a fast boat, some washing equipment with a ladder and liferafts in canisters. The deck just above the lifeboats is 8. Go up one deck from the point of the washing ladder and move a little to the left, that's 9185 on the so called hump. The balcony right of yours (in the picture) is diagonal towards the hump and barely visible.

Hope this helps!

WE were on deck 8 at the back end of the row of lifeboats. The view was terrible. I had specifically asked if our downward view would be blocked, and the PCC said absolutely not. He lied. Just one other reason why I despise the Epic.

Eh, because the PCC lied you hate the ship?

The last 10 end balconies of deck 8 have one of the best downward views of the entire ship, closest to the sea than any other balcony see pic:

And they're also not uncovered, a con for some deck 8 balconies.
