ronandannette Posted September 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2015 I've done GTY categories on several different cruiselines and have never gotten this close without an assignment. Anyone with NCL experience know when the cabin number might be likely to show up in my "Vacation Summary" on-line?
rvsullivan Posted September 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Anytime from now until you show up at the pier. I would think any time now, but at times you will find out at the pier, the porters have the master list, so can look it up and put on the appropriate luggage tags. Hope you get a nice surprise!! ColinIllinois Posted September 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2015 It can show up anytime right up to your sailing date.
Talus731 Posted September 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2015 On our last cruise we sailed on a Sunday and we received our assignment on the Wednesday. So it should be anytime now.
nacdcruiser Posted September 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Taking our 1st NCL cruise on the Spirit, 12/5/2015 and were surprised to receive our assignment earlier this month (about 90 days from sailing). From everything we read, we weren't expecting anything until around the week of sailing.

kids-in-2-centuries Posted September 13, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2015 How do you know when your cabin has been assigned? Does NCL send an email to let you know or is it just by checking the vacation summary online periodically? We are 50 days out and no assignment (which I'm not really surprised about) and my edocs aren't ready even though I have completed the check-in. No, no notification — you just have to keep checking on the site. Eventually it will appear. We've always got ours relatively quickly, but it can be assigned any time up until you arrive at the pier. For me, whenever I book a GTY, checking the site is part of the fun. :D Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks - ;) here's to hoping! (My best score in this regard was having booked the cheapest inside GTY category on Princess and ending up with a mid-ship balcony!) OceanDreaming2 Posted September 13, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 13, 2015 We were booked an OV cabin for our upcoming cruise (next week!) and switched to a gty balcony. We had our cabin assignment that same day. Our PCC sent the confirmation but keep checking your edocs.

Log into your NCL account and it shows up under the Vacation summary page. It's always a surprise when it shows up. For my next cruise it showed up over a hundred days out. You never really know. Just check every day!
