Does HAL still have cruises that include Topolobampo, Mexico?

Haven't seen this particular cruise for a few years.

 

The 10 day one was a great cruise! Would love to have it return to HAL's line-up!

I thought Hal had one on the westerdam but I can't find it. I did the copper canyon excursion a few years ago. I was excited about going but you spent so much time in transit it just wasn't worth it.

I agree. Right up there with the two shorex in Beijing: a l-o-n-g day, a l-o-n-g time on transportation, too l-o-n-g a time out for lunch. An exhausting day. Not for everyone.

 

However, this cruise was a good length (combined with Hawaii, even better) and was fun with different ports from the standard Mexico.

According to cruisetimetables.com there will be a Voyages of Discovery ship there on 2/21/16 and Azmara Quest on 2/14/17. That's it!

IIRC it was scheduled last year and go changed to other ports due to the hurricane. Someone had posted that the port was needed to haul supplies on the way to the affected areas.

We loved this itinerary and are so glad we took the Copper Canyon Excursion when we did. It is one of the world's great train rides!

The Sea of Cortez is on our list too. Hope HAL does start venturing back this way. Glad to see they are at least back to the week run out of San Diego down Baja and back.

 

We like Voyages of Discovery a lot if anyone wants to try them for their Sea of Cortez offering and does not want to wait for HAL to get back there - this is not a typical cruise ship at all, but a traditional, older ship-ship with has an outstanding BBC-based lecture series, small size, limited facilities, very basic cabins, great food and a terrific onboard feel among the well-traveled passengers.
