Rare CruisinCrow Posted September 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2015 I don't think you're going to find anything like that in Nassau. No good beach snorkeling anywhere - you'd need a boat snorkeling tour. I was going to suggest getting day passes at Breezes but then I saw in another of your posts that you'll only be in Nassau from 7 to 2 so getting a day pass wouldn't make much sense. Maybe one of the free beaches? Junkanoo Beach isn't the prettiest beach but it's within walking distance of the port and you can buy drinks. I'm not sure if they have massages of not. Cabbage Beach is a $5 taxi ride away and is on the same beach as Atlantis. Gorgeous beach but sometimes too rough for swimming. No bathrooms. They do have massage tents on the beach at least some of the time.
rdmadm12 Posted September 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2015 I have yet to find this beach and we've been to nassau twice! The best i've found is to get a beach pass for Atlantis and go to their private beach near the Cove building. We went there last thanksgiving and there was decent snorkeling and lots of shells with the beach bar close by.
karena1 Posted October 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2015 We go to Junkanoo all the time. For Nassau, it is not a bad beach - one of the few you don't have to spend a fortune to go to. You can walk from the ship, takes about 20 minutes. We always sit at the first spot when you get to junkanoo (before the bathrooms) at JYAH. Barry keeps his side of the beach nice and clean and there are less rocks by his section than on the other side of the bathrooms. Bars and eats available from various vendors. Also have seen massage people there. You can rent chairs/umbrellas at JYAH as well as at other areas on the beach
