Carnival Casinos??

I have played tables on all of my cruises. I've never been given any type of casino offers or comps or anything else I read here. I did, on my last cruise, hear a player talking about earning free drinks but I didn't question it. But the more I read the boards the more I'm thinking, "why have I never been given any of these type of deals or comps???" I may not be a big drinker but I am addicted to craps and roulette. I hate even admitting to it but it's true and I've spent way more than I care to admit.

So how? How do I check into this? I just called Carnival's general 800 #. The lady basically said "it's random and no rhyme or reason to who gets the deals." I just find it hard to believe but is she right??

I wanted to ask a casino department but there wasn't an option on the # I called. I'm not mad or anything (hoping this isn't sounding like I'm bent out of shape bc I'm not). I just want to get any deals or comps if I am eligible. Every little bit helps to fuel my cruise-addiction. Lol

Thanks for any and all help!

I think I just found my own answer. I just emailed casino@carnival.com. Sorry for posting my q before doing further digging. :)

If anyone has anything else to add though, please do. :)

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO WindyFreedom: I play in the casino on my cruises too. So does my wife. On one cruise a casino manager told me that you have to play for a minimum number of hours. I don't know if it has changed, but, at that time it was usually two hours worth of action. Also, if you make a minimum bet of at least $25 or a green chip or more it helps. Odds bets are not considered since that is a no win situation for the casino.

I only play roulette, so I can only speak to that. First, make sure when you sit down you give them your S&S card to "check in." On the last few cruises, the dealers are very good at asking for it from everyone, even for quick single bets. They record your time and your buy in. I always buy in for $100 in chips. I get my free drink card usually on the second day. I am pretty consistent. First night I usually play from 10pm to 1am, always $22 per spin. Second day at sea I usually play from 11am to 2pm, 4pm to 7pm, and 10pm to 1am. They usually give me the free drink card that second night (after 12 hours of play at $22 per spin) or whenever they see me on the third day. Port days I usually play 11pm to 1am. On the last night, they give me the free cabin offer (have to sail within 3 months) either directly in the casino or in my room inbox. Then they send offers randomly throughout the year, some free cabins, some reduced rates, some premier cruises, usually all with some amount of casino cash. However, you play, ALWAYS sign in with your S&S card when you arrive at the table.

Thank y'all for replying!! :)

The rest of my reply may come across agitated but just know it is not towards anyone on here... Just Carnival and I guess myself.

So yesterday I emailed the Carnival Casino, explained everything I did in my original post here, and asked how these offers or comps can be earned.

Their reply today was that I was not opted-in to receive these offers. I was surprised but asked to be opted in. I don't remember ever choosing to opt in or out of anything -- but I decided it could have been me or an accident. Either way, I did ask to be opted back in. No big deal. Then their reply said that based off my last cruise I did not earn any comps. Again, no big deal. I wasn't looking to get anything. All I wanted to know is how to earn this stuff in the future (esp since my next cruise is this November).

So, I replied and in detail stated how much I spent at the casino. Then I talked about my actual playtime. On this cruise, I mainly played roulette and was there for sometimes as short as 20 something minutes but I was there for hours a LOT of the time (most of the time). Then I asked again if spending the amount of money I did and having hours of consecutive playtime for 4 of the 5 days of my cruise wasn't enough.. Then what is the criteria to be eligible.

Their reply was criteria or eligibility could not be shared and that their records indicate I didn't meet them. Okay.. Okay... Again, no big deal. But I sent one final email saying I understood if criteria couldn't be sent but I wanted to know how I could ensure my playtime and money spent was being accurately reported on my upcoming cruise. Their reply was to use my sign and sail card.

This is where I am agitated at them and maybe myself. I could swear I did give my s and s card each time. I truly could. ESP since half of the money I spent was me charging it to the dang s and s card when I forgot to bring my cash to to the table.

I am agitated because why can't we know the criteria? What's the big deal on that? I am agitated because I was not asking for any comps from this cruise or any last cruises. My entire email thread was me just asking for info. They're the ones who just kept saying I wasn't eligible. You can clearly see in all of my emails that I was really cool about everything. But the more I think about it.. The more I am like wth.... First, just wanted to know criteria and when that couldn't be shared, all I wanted to know was how to ensure I didn't miss out In the future.

I hope no one reads this and just starts blasting me. I am taking responsibility. Maybe I didn't give them my s and s card like I thought I had? I don't know and I will own up to it that maybe I didn't. But I just feel like I wasn't given any answers. And even though I wasn't asking or looking for comps from this trip, I feel the entire situation was unfair and can't explain why I feel the way I do. Bc again, I'll take the blame and assume I might not have done my part like I thought.

Better believe I won't screw up on my next cruise and if I play as many hours as I did this time and spend as much money... Then I'm definitely going to feel like something is wrong with this entire picture.

(Sorry for venting.. Really hope no one judges my post)

I understand your venting - why can't one find out what might be necessary for qualification or consideration? I'm guessing that it comes down to someone's best guess as to what a particular guest has or hasn't done and that maybe the S&S doesn't track like it should?

If nothing else, I would introduce myself to the casino host and asked to be tracked on your next cruise and see if that makes a difference?

Good luck to you!

Thank you y'all.. Really thanks for replying. I never complain and this has honestly bothered me. I just felt treated unfairly... Especially since I wasn't looking for anything free and only trying to find out how to earn for my upcoming cruise.

I am definitely going to introduce myself to the casino host in November. That was good advice. Thank y'all so much.. It made me feel a lot better.

You obviously had to have used your sail and sign card, if you were making charges to it on the slot machines. Also, you had to have been using it to transfer the money from the machine to your card, when you were leaving that slot machine, or to cash out at the casino cage......very strange. Do you remember seeing the # of points you earned, while playing? (ie: if you reached 1500 points, you would have been eligible to receive the drinks on us card.) Who receives comps has always been a mystery to me, and many others, as well. Hope it all works out for you. Happy cruising!

Slot machines are the easiest way to track your points. But since you only play the tables make sure you introduce yourself to the pit boss and the host. They are your best friends in the casino. If your buy in is a large amount make sure they notice it. I have seen many people ask about comps so don't feel uneasy about doing it. The pit boss can let you know if your close to getting your drinks on us card. The host would be for most other comps. Good luck and win big. That really gets their attention.

Exactly what was said Above.... Introduce yourself first night to the casino host and Casinos manager.....We get all the casino offers but took a few cruises before I read these tips on CC and applied them

But even ship to ship and diff lines there will be differences in how they Rate you

My Wife wants them marking down Every $100 she goes through at the tables and more then a few floor men have told her it's not the amount lost. It's the amount of time played each day and amount bet that they figure their system out with

Also not All Floormen or Pit bosses do their jobs correctly

Example I was on NCL And tracked my own hours/timing n bet Avg......on a 7 day cruise I Avgd 10 hours a day in the casino with a $40 avg bet

On the 3rd day I asked the casino manager how long they had me playing so far....he gets the info and states 17 hours 😳😳😱. Ummm they were short bout 13 hours....Avg bet they actually had me little higher then I did myself at $50 BUT those hours are Very Very important

I made sure to tell each floor person when I sat down to track me correctly Please and the rest of the cruise was good

Now Carnivals been taking really good care of me with perks so I'm sailing with them currently Next one is March 2016 and they hooked me up with a Free Ocean view room, $1,000 Free Cash in the casino, Free Drink Card and lotta small stuff in the room and free tournament entries

They make it hard to say No to the cruise lol 😆🙈😜
