Tendering - Some of group is Platinum or FTTF and other part isnt..

Hi guys! Hoping you guys might have an answer. We have a group of 8 people going on our next cruise and have a question regarding Tendering. This question is only in regards to tendering and not embarkation/debarkation...

 

We will be in the Caymans for a day and as you know that is a tender port. 3 of the 8 have platinum or FTTF and the other part of the group doesnt. Has anyone ever had success in expedited tendering? Our activities on the island are as a group and we want to maximize that as much as we can...

EDIT: The part of the group that isnt FTTF has been trying for months to buy it, but it never goes on sale. They want FTTF, but cannot get it.

Of course you can always ask, but you are at the mercy of whomever is handling priority tendering that day.

 

Thats actually an answer I was hoping for... Im an outgoing social type guy who also works in sales, so I can usually find a way to talk people into things. :)

This, but I was thinking it was 10, at least for platinum members.

this is true. I was on fantasy in June and took 5 other people on the tender with me to Half Moon Cay

Each Platinum cruiser is allowed to bring five friends on a tender. Since you have three, you're all set.

 

All of you need to meet at Guest Services. Let the folks behind the desk know that you are all ready to tender together. You'll all be escorted directly to the tender.

See that? you learn something new everyday. Myself and GF are both Platinum. Never knew I could bring friends for priority tendering.

 

Perhaps next cruise, I'll walk down to the long "general boarding" line, approach the last people in line and say "guess what folks? Today is your lucky day. Follow me". :D

The info about 5 extra passengers is correct BUT, if the others still want to try and get FTTF email fttfinfo@carnival.com and you can be put on a wait-list. Should it become available, they will let you know...

I'd be interested to know how long the tender ride is at HMC. WE will be going there in March 2016 and have purchased FTTF.

The ride is only ten or fifteen minutes max. However the wait to fill up the tender can take 20 minutes. :)

When I become Platinum I will be doing this! Great way to make someone smile and make a new cruise friend!

We arent even trying to be the first off honestly. We are only in port from 8-3pm and have an all day pass. I know that come 10ish, they will still be calling numbers... Just want to avoid that.

Wish this worked. :( We have literally emailed them almost every single week, without a single response.

Sure...waiting in long lines and spending the morning lounging around in the main theater waiting for your ticket to be called is what I would rather do if I had earned the right to priority tendering!

I was told 7 people could come off with me making up to eight in the group however it probably varies but suffice it to say each platinum person should be able to bring up at least 5 people so your group should be safe. We had 10 people in a group I put together for a tour and two of us were platinum and we had no difficulty.

It's not even a matter of being first one off the boat. I just don't like waiting in the lines. So even if I don't want to get off on the very first tender I don't like having to go get a tender ticket and wait in the line so I really enjoy being platinum because you get to just sit near the desk until they're ready to take you down no waiting in line. Don't let anyone tell you you have to go wait in some line for a priority tender ticket. I had someone do that to me on my first platinum cruise and it caused a big delay with getting off the boat. Just go to the desk and tell them you're ready to go.
