luv2swimwdolphins Posted September 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2015 This year will be my first Thanksgiving cruise. Do they offer "turkey dinner"?
rvsullivan Posted September 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2015 Yes, at least the MDR's will offer a traditional dinner.
bearette Posted September 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2015 I did one in Europe two years ago. They had apple (no pumpkin pie) and traditional Turkey dinner that night. They also had some fall and Turkey decorations around the atrium. Not much but enough for you to realize it was a holiday.

zqvol Posted September 27, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2015 Our experience is that they offer something resembling a turkey dinner, but it is not fresh turkey, more like a turkey roll type protein, and the dressing and other sides leave a lot to be desired. We lounged around in Spice H2O watching football all day, then pigged out in Moderno in the evening. Other than the football, we wouldn't have known it was Thanksgiving, which is fine by us. df5250 Posted September 28, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner on the Gem a few years ago in the main dinning room. Made the reservation for the time we wanted when first got onboard. It was just awesome to have Thanksgiving in a tropical place and not have to do all the work, but did miss the leftovers!! jackparts Posted September 28, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2015 2013 on the Dawn, we had a somewhat traditional T Day dinner, not the best. Last year on Carnival, I went to the buffet, loaded up two plates for my dinner, went to the Sports Bar and watched the Eagles whoop the Cowgirls. This year, that may not happen. Best T Day dinner on a cruise? DISNEY hands down. Four years in a row, cannot say enough. The waitstaff lined up at the door and thanked us all for allowing them to share our holiday. Ecsorted us to our table and we had a GREAT tasting meal. Yes, it was a more expensive cruise, but I saved $$$ from not having a casino.
CarolRoy Posted September 28, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 28, 2015 We just off the Breakaway 9/27/15. Had the turkey dinner in the MDR. It was like rubber. Would not recommend it. No mashed potato.
