ILUVCATS Posted September 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2005 I will be sailing on the Majesty of the Seas for a 4 night cruise. I am a Crown and Anchor Member (with 1 previous cruise) and was wondering if any one could tell me the perks that I should expect on a shorter cruise (coupons etc). Any information is appreciated. piper Posted September 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2005 On our 2nd cruise, we go some coupons for some free ($5.00, I think) coins or something in the casino, discounts on gift shop stuff, and maybe a certain % off some of the ships photos. We also got a tiny transistor radio (Dollar store type). I don't think you get many benefits until you are way up there. We are taking our third trip next week, so we'll see what that brings (besides fun!!)
Appgrad Posted September 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2005 Do they have a reception on the shorter cruises? I know they have one for Crown and Anchor on the 7 day ones...
Nliedel Posted September 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2005 Repeat cruise receptions are for cruises of 7 days or more I belive.

Merion_Mom Posted September 28, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Repeat receptions on the 4 day are for Platinum and Diamond members only. mohavemommy, please tell me more about this. I'm assuming that you've attended these receptions on both short and long cruises. How (if at all) have they differed? Oh, and do you mean to imply that a 3-day cruise has NO repeaters' party? Our week-long cruise in December is really a 3- and a 4-day B2B. Carol
mohavemommy Posted September 28, 2005 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2005 There was also a Platinum/Diamond repeaters party on the 3 day. :D
critterchick Posted September 28, 2005 #11 Share Posted September 28, 2005 The Platinum/Diamond receptions are very nice indeed. We missed a brunch on Radiance because the invitation didn't get to our stateroom in time, but I hear those are terrific. On the 3-nighter on Monarch, there was a cocktail party in the Viking Crown Lounge with several members of the senior staff present (not the Captain). Open bar and tasty hors d'oeuvres just before sailaway. There was also a Captain's Gala on the second night for all passengers. There was 1/2 an hour of music for dancing and then a few remarks by the Captain, who then introduced the senior staff. It's a lot of fun.
cruisegirl1 Posted September 28, 2005 #12 Share Posted September 28, 2005 Gold members on the short cruise will get the coupon book, and JR Coupon, and welcome back gift. The 3 and 4 day Sovereign cruises do NOT have a general repeat passenger party. There is a cocktail reception for Platinum and Diamond only. This is generally in the Viking Crown Lounge and held early the last evening. Merion Mon - I will bet (unfortunately) that your Sovereign back to back will be the same as all other Sovereign sailings and only have the cocktail reception for platinum and diamond members. We had a lunch on a sea day on the Splendour last January and a fantastic brunch (held in Chops) this past May on the Radiance. (Both 7 day cruises) These were in addition to the general welcome back party for all repeat passangers. (We are Diamond members and do not recall if the lunch and brunch are for platinum and diamond or just diamond) Of course, on the 3 and 4 day there is a Captain’s party for all passages held on formal night. Have fun marci
RhondaC Posted September 28, 2005 #13 Share Posted September 28, 2005 We are Gold members and were just on our fourth cruise on the 4-day Majesty last week. We each got a canvas bag with the RCL logo on it. :) The time before (also a Majesty 4-day cruise) we got a nice toiletry bag with the logo on it. We only got one that time though - I suppose because it was a nicer gift, so they just gave us one between the two of us. As others mentioned, you'll also get a coupon book. There is no C&A reception for Gold members on the shorter cruises. On this last cruise, we also got a nice plate with chocolate covered fruit delivered to our room! When I asked the cabin steward where it came from, she said she didn't know! So, I asked the Loyalty Ambassador if it came from C&A, and she said those only go to Diamond members. Somebody messed up, I guess! The weird thing was, there was no note with it! Oh well - they were good! :D
