antsp Posted October 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2015 I have just returned of the Emerald and some how managed to end up with credit on my onboard account. Anyone know if this goes back onto your credit card automatically
eandj Posted October 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2015 we always spend ours. But from what I understand some obc's are not refundable if you don't spend them. I'd call.
GUT2407 Posted October 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Some OBC is refundable some non. If you have a mix they use the non refundable first. If you have left over refundable it goes bak on your credit card, it can take a while. They are marked on your account with R and N next to OBC. westendgirl Posted October 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2015 They seem to change their policy frequently. We've been given cash in the past (exceeding $200). Just got off the Caribbean two days ago and were told cash refunds are for amounts under $25 only and the refund would be in the form of a check, mailed to our home. They will only refund 'refundable' credits, such as military. Most onboard credits are non-refundable.
skynight Posted October 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Look at your folio. OBC's are marked refundable or non-refundable. If you have refundable OBC you will get the remaining money back. On our last cruise we did not get a credit on our credit card, but instead received a check in the mail about two weeks after we returned home. We did nothing it just arrived. likeadisguise Posted October 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2015 They can't "refund" money to a credit card that was never charged for onboard expenses. If you have refundable OBC left over and don't cash out onboard, you'll get a check, but it'll take a while.
