Cabin A610 Britannia

The balcony we had with an overhang got sun first thing in the morning and last thing at night, depending on which way the ship was sailing, lovely for room service breakfast and pre dinner drinks, we made use of ours at lunchtime too when it was too hot to sit out, it was a lovely shady spot. We often took food from the buffet and ate our lunch there.

Thanks for your message, sounds as if we may have more use of the balcony than we originally thought.

Hi Cruise heaven, Just got an upgrade to cabin A620 which is a few door away from you.

I see that the overhang might be a bit of a problem but we have gone from an obstructed view without sofa on G deck to this one which appears to have a sofa.

The launderette is more or less opposite so the wife is going to be tickled pink and I haven't got far to go for some fresh air and a pint, win win.

We go in January so if you are there before us could you leave us a bit of feedback regarding any noise from above.

Thanks, Rick.

Hi Rick,

Apologies for delay in replying about the overhang. As it happens we had our cabin changed to E705 so didn't experience the overhang situation after all. We did take a couple of pictures looking up, from our cabin, to try and give you the perspective of size or noise issues, which I have attached.

We did get the opportunity to visit a cabin with sofa, which certainly gives you a nice space. Sorry I can't help further. I hope you have a wonderful cruise.

Kind regards,

Elaine

Thanks Cruise Heaven, only a few days to go now.

Hope you enjoyed you cruise, we certainly intend to, at least if it rains we shouldn't get wet and we should get some nice views from up there.

Happy New Year to you and everyone else on this board.

Rick.

Hi Rick,

We had a great cruise, seems so long ago now. Would be good for future reference if you could pop a review of the cabin when you get back please.

Happy Cruising and Happy New Year!

Elaine

To avoid "the overhang" issue you need to be in an "A" deck cabin with a number lower than A251, in my opinion. A325 is a bigger cabin btw. It is noticeable on Britannia that the size of balconies is smaller than a typical Azura/Ventura standard size. Oceana people might find them equitable although not the same metal front with railings style.

Regards John
