From Port Everglades to Beach or Water Taxi for day?

Can anyone tell me how we can get from Port Everglades to a beach or to the Water Taxi? We are on a BTB and want to take the turn around day to go to a beach or ride the Water Taxi, but have never done either from Port Everglades. I would imagine the only option is a taxi, but thought I'd see if anyone has done this & how you managed it.

Thank you for any help!

If you are docked at pier 2 or 4 (2 is always Princess and I think 4 usually is too) you can easily walk from there to the Hilton Marina water taxi stop (http://www.watertaxi.com). See the port map at http://www.porteverglades.net/includes/content/docs/media/PEG545_MultiMapBrochure_Map_REVISED-Feb-17-2015.pdf. The Hilton Marina is under the binoculars icon on the west side of the 17th Street bridge. To get to the beach from terminals 2 or 4 just flag down the eastbound (heading over the bridge) Sun Trolley (http://www.suntrolley.com) on 17th Street - it's only a mile or two ride (depending on where you get off). The Sun Trolley is $1/ride or $3/day pass.

If you are at any other terminal, the port is not conducive for walking so take a taxi.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply! It sounds really easy from Pier 2, so let's hope that is where we dock.

:)

If you are on the Royal or the Regal you will be at pier 2 unless both are in port at the same time (only occurs infrequently) and then most likely Regal (the newest) will be at pier 2.
