No. When you pre-pay gratuities or anything else you are paying it on the spot. (Hence the term "pre-pay"). Those charges never hit your shipboard account thus they cannot be reconciled against OBC. (Hence the term "On Board Credit").

 

I realize there is currently the dilemma of the gratuities increasing $1.45 pp/pd next year for those who do not choose to prepay before January 1. But if you don't think you will otherwise fully spend your OBC then it is still a no-brainer to not prepay and let your awarded OBC take care of it even if you "lose" the roughly $10 per week each. (I don't think you are losing anything; a free perk is a free perk).

 

Or look at it this way: pre-paying for any shipboard expense is essentially the same as buying yourself more OBC. If you feel you have sufficient already awarded to you then why go to further expense? Just to save $1.45 pp/pd?
