Cruise Cash, Gift Cards and SS Account???

My parents bought us $500 worth of cruise cash....as I understand that is the most cruise cash that can be bought per cabin and it is applied right to our sail and sign account....I don't need to do anything further, correct?

 

I just received a$100 carnival gift card from my co workers. Can I apply this to my sail and sign account on top of the cruise cash? Do I do that once as I get there? Can I use the gift card online to purchase excursions or liquor for the room?

 

What order are the different payments used?

Cruise cash can ONLY be used on the cruise it's bought for ... and you will NOT get unused cruise cash back ... so that is typically used first. I THINK you can use cruise cash in the casino slot machines, which means if you have leftover the last night you wont "lose" it, you can cash out via a slot machine.

 

You can apply the gift card on your account when you check-in at the port, or wait till later to see if you need it. If you dont, you can always save it to use towards booking another cruise!

RecoverDude is correct. Cruise Cash is use it or lose it.

 

Gift Cards are the way to go since you get back what you don't use.

 

UPS just delivered the $500 GC I bought through AARP Rewards for $450.

If it can't be used for cheers...just buy drinks as you go...it will cover charges made on the ship.

Yes, you can do both.

Cruise Cash can be used for anything you use your sign n sail card for. Can't use it to order cheers online, but after you get onboard you can
