We are arriving 3 days before the cruise , the flight prices are terrible this year, so we took a flight 3 days before to save . This way we save on a hotel in Canada (flight leaves at 9 Am , so can drive in morning ) . Now I am

looking at Fort Lauderdale hotels , can any one tell me if the Days inn at 2601 N 29th ave , is close to buses , shopping and restaurants ?

That hotel is a 1/2 mile walk from the Oakwood plaza shpping center.

The center runs from Stirling Road to Sheridan Street.

The hotel is next to a Dennys and a Mc Donalds.

Also the Tri Rail Station is south of the hotel.

The number 12 bus, (it goes to Hollywood beach) has a stop just outside of the hotel parking lot.

www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist and hotel info.

I would do this and try and get one of the locally owned mom and pop motels down on the beach. Probably the same price but on the beach or walking distance. Also tons of shopping, dining, and attractions on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.
