Postcard from Norwegian

Hi Folks!

We've never sailed with Norwegian, but receive a postcard indicating that we have "been identified to receive a fabulous 7 night cruise for 2 adults". The promotion also mentions receiving round trip airfares and 2 nights accommodations in a first class hotel. The postcard also lists a seminar in the Embassy Suites Hotel in Saratoga Springs.

At best this seems to be a come on and possibly a scam. We don't really have an interest in sailing with Norwegian, but are curious about this "offer". Does anyone have any insight about this?

Sounds like a pitch for a timeshare.

SCAM, read the fine print..........it's not from Norwegian.

Sorry to say it is either a time share or a vacation club promotion and not sent from Norwegian. Yes you will get the cruise if you go and you will get the airfare but from reading other posts the airfare and cruise will probably not match up and there will be lots of black out dates on the cruise

Caveat Emptor. If it seems too good to be true it probably is!! This sounds too good to be true. If it looks dodgy and sounds dodgy then it is almost certainly dodgy. Again "Caveat Emptor". :mad: :eek:

Yes, we figured it was a come on for something, just didn't think of a timeshare. We noticed that the fine print mentioned some third parties. As I said, we weren't really interested, just curious. Thanks, everyone for the replies.

Yup, a vacation club sales pitch. The sales staff get credit for the number of people they bring in the door to hear the pitch and will tell you anything and everything (right or wrong or true or false).
