Is there a golf cart that provides rides from the ship to the terminal?

Tagging on--I'm a newbie cruiser, is this kind of thing common? Sounds nice. (I don't mind walking when there's something interesting to look at.)

St Maarten offers it on the pier. Great for people who cannot walk long distances.

No golf carts on pier. There is a free tram from ships to port shopping area. And there is a place for golf cart rental in the port area, if you wish to take one outside the port to the beach malecon in Mahahual.

So the tram picks passengers up at the ship and takes them to the port terminal? We don't need a golf cart just a ride to the terminal.

Strange website, "Retail Price: $75, Our Price: $75, Bonus price: $75"

 

Rented a golf cart in Akumal Mexico for $20. $75 is pretty steep. Price hike for cruise passengers I guess.

This is the tram in Costa Maya. There is a short walk from the ship to the tram.

The FREE tram only takes you from the ship to the beginning of the market -- just the pier. There is a separate tram that travels the Malecon for $3 pp.

You still have to walk the port area no matter what.

 

If you want to leave the port, you can catch the $3 tram to the Malecon (about 5-10 minutes away).
