Wine as Fish Extender Gifts

i want to gift small bottles of wine such as the kind that come in a four pack to couples celebrating a special occasion. I know I can bring two bottles in my carry on. Would two four packs be allowed?

As noted, probably not.

 

The DCL policy is each person 21 and over is allowed to bring onboard a maximum of 2 bottles (750 ml) of wine or champagne OR 6 beers (12 oz). This is allowed on embarkation as well as in port.

 

Any beverages (alcoholic) above this limit will be held until debarkation day.

 

As a side note, I'm leery about placing alcoholic beverages in FEs. It's quite possible that someone other than the intended recipient could snatch it (like kids).

I understand the thought, but if the bottles appear above the pocket of the FE, kids could easily see and take them! There is a small problem with thefts from FEs when alcohol is not involved!

I get that. I do have a little input for you, however - as a non-drinking adult, who frequently travels without kids, for various occasions, I would have no use for a bottle of wine (small or otherwise).

I say, go for it....some will like it...some won't...they can pour it out, or give it away. You're supposed to learn something about the recipients...if they l like wine, go for it.
