Ronsangel Posted October 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2015 After checking out the latest Anthem sale, DH and I are considering the 12 day cruise over the Easter break. For those who have sailed over a holiday (we haven't), should we assume there will be a large number of kids on board? Will the fact that it's a 12 day cruise have an impact do you think? DH and I don't hate kids or anything...we just don't want to be outnumbered by them :) We were considering a cruise later in April instead, but this sale has us saving $800 off the cruise and adds a $100 OBC which makes it appealing. voyager70 Posted October 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Being 12 nights there probably won't be AS many as a 7 night, but any cruise over Easter break will have a significant amount of kids.
grouchomarx Posted October 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2015 I was on an Easter cruise once, didn't notice more kids than usual. They don't get that much time off.
CrusinAgain Posted October 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2015 7 days yes but not 12....I wouldn't worry about it since that would be a week out of school for them. Are you talking about the Anthem?
yj2cute Posted October 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Due to it being 12 night, probably not as many school age kids as you would see on a shorter cruise, but there still could be LOTS of smaller kids.
Ronsangel Posted October 28, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted October 28, 2015 Yes, the Anthem is the ship we're looking at this time. We've never done a cruise longer than 7 nights, so excited by the prospect of 12. Just trying to factor in the variables....Easter...possibly spring break for some.... That being said, not knowing how the ship is laid out, if most kids are in Adventure Ocean or the sports area, we may never see them anyhow! We have done a number of longer cruises and there are more mature adults on the longer cruises. Even the younger adults with small children are rare to see so book it and enjoy it! We have 3 booked for Anthem and went on Quantum 12 dayer so it is so relaxing!
OCruisers Posted October 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 28, 2015 A 12 day Easter cruise will have way less school aged kiddos!
