runner15km Posted November 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) The ship will dock on the Hudson River, Manhattan Island 711 12th Ave, NYC. Closest airport is LaGuardia. __________________ Edited November 2, 2015 by runner15km

njhorseman Posted November 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Don't get hung up on the idea of closest airport to the Manhattan cruise terminal. LaGuardia is closest, Newark next and JFK is furthest, but you first should be looking at flight prices and schedules to see what's best in that regard. Then you'll have to add on ground transportation costs, but there are a variety of options with different levels of convenience at various prices from each of the airports...but start by looking at the airline fares and schedules. You also have to consider the price of a precruise hotel. Manhattan is super expensive. The pool of hotels at Newark airport is much more extensive than the selection of hotels at LGA and much less expensive than Manhattan. We don't generally recommend the hotels at JFK because they can be utilized for emergency housing. Bottom line - you need to add up the flight cost + the transportation cost + the hotel cost to make a good comparison. Ability to manage your luggage is also a factor.
