BTromboneFrack Posted November 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2015 I've noticed that Carnival does not sell Bailey's Irish Creme anymore from their in room drinks menu. Any other way to get a bottle of Baileys in the room, besides smuggling?
Pyrate13 Posted November 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Noticed this also. We used to order one every cruise but no more I guess.:(
silvercrikhix Posted November 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) We noticed that too. They used to carry a "Irish Cream" liquor, but that is now missing. We are ordering the Chilla Orchata which is a cinnamon rum cream, similar to Rum Chata which is totally delicious. So we are happy with that instead. We know we are on vacation when we have our special coffee creamer! You used to be able to call Bon Voyage and order items not on their list, maybe that will work if you are set on Irish Cream? Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted November 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2015 So now I can't get a B52!!!! (baileys, kahula and vodka)
Pyrate13 Posted November 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2015 You can get one at the bar. Just no preorder Bailey's from Bon Voyage apparently.
springs741 Posted November 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2015 So now I can't get a B52!!!! (baileys, kahula and vodka) I am keeping my fingers crossed that OP is speaking of ordering from Bon Voyage to have in the stateroom. I need mommies special sippie cup with Baileys and coffee. That is my go to drink.
Pyrate13 Posted November 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2015 I am keeping my fingers crossed that OP is speaking of ordering from Bon Voyage to have in the stateroom. Exactly. Bailey's is no longer offered on Carnivals Bon Voyage site to preorder for delivery to your cabin.
texast518 Posted November 3, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Take the little bottles in luggage, I have also brought them in backpack from ports, no problem.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted November 3, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 3, 2015 So its offered at the bars just not on bon voyage did I understand correctly?
KenMo Posted November 3, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2015 It's been awhile ago, so maybe things have changed. I ordered a coffee and Baileys and the bartender used Carolina. Not the same.
hobster7 Posted November 3, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) If visiting Jamaica, do yourself a favor and get a few bottles of Sangsters Jamaican Rum Cream. They also sell it at some Islands. Just like Baileys bit smoother bc it's made with Rum instead of whiskey. Rumchada is not even in the convo. Pyrate13 Posted November 3, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 3, 2015 I agree, Carolan's is not the same as Bailey's. On the Pride last December they had Bailey's at the bar but I seem to recall it was not available for preorder then either.
YubaSutter Posted November 4, 2015 #13 Share Posted November 4, 2015 So now I can't get a B52!!!! (baileys, kahula and vodka) It's also called a mudslide
PekingeseLady Posted November 4, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 4, 2015 B52 has Grand Manier (sp?) not vodka. ;):D
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted November 4, 2015 #15 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Yes, Grand Marnier is suppose to be in the B52 but I am allergic to it for some reason so I have them make mine a bit differently.
Boozebabe Posted November 4, 2015 #16 Share Posted November 4, 2015 So now I can't get a B52!!!! (baileys, kahula and vodka) A B-52 is made with Kahlua - Grand Marnier - Baileys. Your drink is a Mudslide. Both YUMMY. If you are lucky enough to find Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream....try it.

BTromboneFrack Posted November 4, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Yes, I am talking about the Bon Voyage orders - no Baileys anymore there. I used to love having a Bailey's and ice out on our balcony before bed every night. Bummer!!!

pops72106 Posted November 4, 2015 #20 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Baileys is no longer being used on the ships, they are using an off brand, O'duls I believe is what they are using (definitely not using Carolyns...I like Carolyns).
BTromboneFrack Posted November 4, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I have also brought them in backpack from ports, no problem. I didn't think bringing it to your room in a backpack was allowed. Doesn't Carnival store it for you until the cruise is over? I'd still like to get that bottle to my room. On Disney, we actually tipped/bribed a steward, but I'd prefer to do things the right way.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted November 4, 2015 #22 Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) What is the substitute for Baileys there must be something? Pops72106 O'douls is a non alcoholic beer. Edited November 4, 2015 by lyndamr

We've been trying to find it everywhere we go (which hasn't been Jamaica) to no avail ever since!

Carolans Irish Cream is the most common substitute that I know of but in my opinion it's a second rate one. My wife loves Baileys, won't touch Carolans. Yes, that is the correct spelling. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted November 5, 2015 #25 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Thats a shame for those who like it on the rocks, I have mine mixed with other liquors so it won't be too bad, but nothing like Baileys.
