Rede411 Posted November 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Hi All, Am planning a surprise B-day cruise for hubby and he's always wanted to go to Key West, FL...NCL is my favorite cruise line, sometimes RCI but I don't see any stops to Key West with NCL. We'd be traveling February 2017 and the only ones I see are on Royal. :( ~E

emcelh Posted November 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2015 We're booked on the Jade in January, 2017 on a 10 day from Tampa which calls at Key West. I,'ve seen some Carnival itineraries that stop there too.
TSUmom Posted November 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2015 We wanted to see Key West also. We decided to cruise from Miami but arrive a few days early and head to Key West pre cruise.
RazScott Posted November 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Doesn't look like there are in Feb 2017, I saw Jan and March though on the Jade.
gpb11 Posted November 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2015 The single biggest problem with cruising to Key West vs. driving there pre/post cruise is you're never there for sunset.
TSUmom Posted November 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2015 The single biggest problem with cruising to Key West vs. driving there pre/post cruise is you're never there for sunset. And that is why we are planning an overnight there....

Like this? ;) (this was May 2012, Disney Magic) To the OP, if you do find a sailing to Key West also watch the port times. The sunset is truly something to see. If you can't find a cruise or think the sunset would be something you'd want to see, it's definitely worth a drive down pre-cruise. Good luck! The port day pictured was our celebration of DH's 40th birthday. We chartered a float plane tour. It was an amazing day!

partigus Posted November 5, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 5, 2015 we're booked on a 5 day out of Tampa on the Jade in Jan 17 that stops at Key West
roger001 Posted November 5, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Port stops are just not long enough at Key West. You need to spend a couple of days there really to get into it's atmosphere. As others said, if you sail out of Miami, drive down there (nice drive) before or after for a night or two.
