Jade's Houston departure?

Anyone know why the Jade hasn't left Houston yet? Was watching the Bayport camera and it's 6:30 local time with a scheduled 4:00 departure.

I was wondering the same thing. Triumph was late out of Galveston as well tonight.

Just checked the cam again and she's pushing away from the dock!

Since this was her first US port call in several years, IIRC, there was probably either a USCG safety inspection/drill, or a USPH sanitation inspection that delayed things.

I think the Jewel was late leaving last year on their first trip out of Houston.

That's ironic since the port is surrounded by oil refineries. "Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink," or something like that.

Not a shortage of fuel, but a shortage of barges. Experienced this problem many, many times.

Late departure again his week. I hope it's not a pattern, I'd much prefer a sunset at sea as opposed to the cruise terminal :)

I was on the ship and I believe the reason was due to rough waters but I am not sure. We finally left as I was sitting down to my first of many dinners in the Grand Pacific.. :)

I saw the Jade left on time yesterday, glad to see the kinks are being worked out. Happy you enjoyed your time on her Nanners1955! Hope you do a review as there are few Jade reviews from the Caribbean.

No, those items were done in Miami on the TA over from Barcelona.
