Which room

We are going to book a cruise with Viking for next May. The standard room is so much cheaper than the french balcony rooms.

 

It is our understanding the standard rooms have a long narrow window at the top of the wall which is at water level.

 

Has anyone used those rooms? What was your opinion? Would you book that room again?
