Why don't you tell folks the issue and maybe they'd have ideas.

I have already requested a table for 2 from my vacation planner however I always find it helpful to email him 3 days before cruising to confirm.

I emailed the maitre d on miracle a couple months ago requesting a table for 2. I received a response back they could not guarantee my request . I was thinking maybe talking to someone when we board ?

IF you choose Your Time Dining you can have a table for 2 each night without any e mailing or stress. You just turn up at the door and ask for one.

I'd suggest that you visit the Maitre d on embarkation day, and request the table for two at that point. Check with the Guest Services folks, or on the Fun Times for the time, and place where he'll be taking request. Usually around 1 P.M., in the dining room. ;)
